Writing a good business case. Radiology is and always will be in a constant state of flux. Technological developments, changes in patient, political and clinician perspectives and advances in knowledge and disease processes ensure that the need for radiology services is always changing.
Decide who will write the proposal for additional staff. Either employees or managers can do this. While this is most often a managerial task, employees may originate the proposal because they feel overworked and believe the company should hire more people to alleviate the situation.
When you are making a proposal to your boss for a new position, you must first clarify why this position is necessary. For example, if you’re proposing a position of travel coordinator, you might note how currently there is no one to oversee corporate travel, which results in uncoordinated travel plans, missed meetings and overpayment of fees.
